Church = boring - But these signs are AWESOME

  • Aug 24, 2010 from sonnysays(Sonny) in Lifestyle
sonnysays I'm not saying church is bad, or not essential or even something people shouldn't do. I think religion is essential and church is an incredible avenue to spread the good word. Church is filled with amazingly giving people and without them we would surely be lost.

  • Dec 17, 2008 from badwithcomputer(Henry Hill)
badwithcomputer Will Smith gives generously to many causes, and one of them is the Church of Scientology. A report on his charitable foundation's tax return shows that $122,500 was donationed to the Scientology causes, out of $1.3 million given overall. Smith has talked about his study of Scientology and also said he is not a Scientologist.

sprint gives out customers data when you call

  • Jul 08, 2006 from nicklinus(matt nicklin)
nicklinus You dial 1-877-785-8414 which is a Sprint customer service line (doesn't matter what number you're dialing from), then punch in the cellphone number of a Sprint Wireless subscriber (not necessarily yours). The Sprint voice-bot reads back to you the full name and street address of the account holder associated with that number.

BUSTED: Wall Street Journal Catches Facebook, Zynga Giving Your Info To Advertisers Even When Your Account Is Fully Private

  • Oct 17, 2010 from businessinsider(Business Insider) in Business
businessinsider The latest in the Wall Street Journal's series on online privacy--which, until now, has mostly been hysterical screaming about things most people know and don't care about--targets Facebook and Facebook app makers like Zynga.
At first glance, the WSJ's latest round of findings sound more serious.
According to the WSJ, Facebook apps are freely handing out users' private info to advertisers, including names--even for Facebook accounts that are set to be fully private:
Many of the most popular applications, or "apps," on the social-networking site Facebook Inc. have been transmitting identifying

Better than previous versions but still missing key features!

I use QuickBooks Nonprofit to manage both the business accounts as well as track donations for the nonprofit that I work for. I've been using QBs for over 3 years, largely because our outside accounting service also uses it and for data interpolation it's important for us to be using the same software. If it wasn't for that reason, it's unlikely that I would continue to use it.The primary reason that I find QBs to be inferior for nonprofit use in particular is QuickBook's inability to print a meaningful year end giving summary for a list of donors. Sure, you can print a donor summary, but it doesn't format the letter into something easily printed and put into a standard windowed envelope, nor is it possible to print a large set of letters for every donor--something virtually every nonprofit needs to do if they receive private donations! This is such a disastrous failure on Intuit's part that it blows the mind that they market this software as a 'premium' option for... 3/5 Nathan Beauchamp "ConsumerAdvocate" (Oak Park, IL USA) - See all my reviews, November 1, 2009

    QuickBooks support?

My church has used Quickbooks for ten years. Quickbooks 2010 for Nonprofits is our third update of this product. In order to register the software (and achieve it's usefulness) you have to call a phone number. Once you get through, you are asked all of the questions you just answered online, and then you are offered all of the services that you could have signed up for online had you wanted them, which we did not. It was presented to me that I had to provide a credit card number for their file IN CASE I ordered the extended support plan (which I did not want). I was assured that no charge would be put on my card. Today (one day later) I get an email saying my order has been shipped! I contacted their support department via the web site and am given a case number and asked to call them to address my issue.I have many issues with the limitations of Quickbooks, and like another reviewer stated, there are reasons we get locked in, in spite of these things.I am very... 1/5 D. Horrible customer service

Our daycare has used Quickbooks for the past five years and has been considering an upgrade to QB2010. We spoke with customer service about a database integrity problem, but found that customer service was more interested in up-selling us to the enterprise edition than helping to fix our problem. We have less than 5 years of data and 3 active users and very few accounts in the database. However, support kept claiming that once the Quickbooks database reaches 130MB the database tends to become corrupted and the only way to avoid this is to upgrade to enterprise edition. The support technicians insisted this was not a product defect, but could not provide any evidence of an advertised limit on the database filesize. The up-sell was a joke ... I felt like I was being sold a used car. I even got the whole, "I just spoke with my manager and he has authorized me to give you an additional 10% off the retail price if you upgrade now" speech. Intuit, if you ever read this and want the... 2/5 Bonafide (Richardson, TX United States) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
