Regarding: American Greetings CreataCard Platinum 8

I currently have American Greetings CreataCard Gold 3, and I love it. It has been so easy to use, and I like the fact that I can create an envelope, which comes up with my return address already on it, and address it with a single click of the mouse. Then I can change the font and add an image. With the Platinum 8, I have not been able to do that at all. I tried to do their "Mail Merge", even had the instructions in front of me, but it would not work. The setup is not nearly as handy to use, and it is always trying to send me to the Internet for images. I am very disappointed with this product. 1/5 MarieL. Disappointed

I have used earlier versions of CreataCard and have been very pleased with every upgrade. But not this time. While there are many nice graphics, the majority (and in some categories - all)of graphics require you be online to even view them. If you 'paste' the item, then you have to wait while the graphic downloads. Many of the artwork that had previously been on my PC are now only available if I'm online. I have written the company; they acknowledged that the majority of graphics were online and advised me to turn off that feature or to upgrade!!! I told them I wanted my money back. 2/5 KJ (Michigan, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: American Greetings Creatacard Gold 8 [OLD VERSION] (CD-ROM) I have used earlier versions of CreataCard and have been very pleased with every upgrade. Much Less Than Expected

I have Creatacard Gold 3 and love it. Wanted to Purchase more, but since being bought out by Broderbund, the option for expanding the cards on the CD's was taken away. The only option available is to purchase a newer version. I was okay with that, but discovered that the newer version doesn't even come close in quality, variety, or ease of use. If you've used the earlier versions and are looking for more cards, do NOT waste your money or time on this inferior product. 1/5 D. Davis (Honolulu HI) - See all my reviews, March 15, 2005

    What You Need To Know

As a Droid 2 lover (and a user of almost all the 4G Droid phones, including Thunderbolt, Charge, Bionic) I have to say this is one of the best Droid phones yet. Like many people, I cut my Smartphone teeth on a Blackberry so I've been a fan of keyboards for years - and this one is maybe the best and most PC like keyboard ever found on a mobile phone. Here is what you need to know:+This is the first Droid to have a full QWERTY keyboard. It is still super thin, though. This keyboard is sweet - rubbery individual buttons (unlike Droid 1, or 2.) Each button gives a satisfying click as well. I love that it has the Shift, Cap Lock on the keyboard where they are on a PC. It is so much more natural than other mobile phone keyboards.+4G LTE from Verizon is the fastest and most built out 4G network and this is blazing fast.+8 MP rear camera is as good as any other phone in the US. There is a front facing 1.3 MP camera for video calling as well. It also has 1080P... 5/5 Scott Asher "ashertopia" (Tennessee) - See all my reviews, February 26, 2012

An excellent phone with 2 major flaws

This is an excellent phone with two major flaws. I switched to the Droid 4 after using the Droid x for the past 15 months. While I liked the Droid X, I find the Droid 4 to be a major improvement in many ways. The 4G is very noticeably faster than the 3G. You type in a search and you are there instantly. The screen display has also been improved. It is very sharp. I am not using a screen protector (though I did use one on every other phone I have owned) since I am not particularly tough on my phones and am relying on the guerilla glass. (Though I realize not all agree with me on this). The main reason I switched to the Droid 4 is the keyboard. As a longtime BlackBerry user I have to admit I like a physical keyboard better than a virtual keyboard. Though the virtual keyboard on the Droid 4 is far superior to the virtual keyboard on the Droid X, the physical keyboard on the Droid 4 is the best I have ever used on any phone, including BlackBerry. The keys are large, lit... 3/5 Lewis Shaffer (Connecticut) - See all my reviews, February 15, 2012

I like it more all the time...

I am a Droid lover. I had the first Droid, and most recently the Droid X. My husband got this for me for Valentines day because he knew I missed my keyboard. As far as the keyboard goes, WOW... it just does not get any better. Everything I hoped it would be and more!As for the rest of the phone, It is starting to really grow on me. I was worried about the battery issue, but have noticed that I can do much more browsing on my Droid 4 than I could on my Droid X before the battery starts complaining. Yes, by the end of the day it is in need of a charging, but I am impressed that it lasts as well as it does with heavy browsing. The browsing is super fast and the phone response is pretty impressive... smooth and quick! The display is pretty decent. I did not think so initially, but after you play with the settings and get it to your liking it is fine! Even though it is smaller than my Droid X, I find that I am not noticing so much.I use my phone camera a lot... 5/5 punkrockpainter (UTAH, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Motorola DROID 4 4G Android Phone (Verizon Wireless) (Wireless Phone) I am a Droid lover. Download everytime the 8,000 thumbnails + larger images

I own Creatacard Platinum 6 and tried Platinum 7. I returned the product after I discovered that you have to download the 8,000+ thumbnail images every time you clear your IE Browser's cache. That's half of the 16,000 thumbnails. Also, any thumbnails that you have looked at using the "Show Detail" says it is downloading to your hard drive. NOT! It downloads to your IE Browser's cache. Unless you have saved that image you viewed in detail by exporting it, you have to spend a lot of time trying to find the thumbnail (more download time) then download the image AND export it unless you save it in a project. The v6 comes with 3 disks but v7 comes with 2 disks. I cannot believe this company thought it was a good idea for people to have to always download the thumbnail of images and detail images. This product wastes your time trying to view images that you paid for by having to download the thumbnails and the larger detail image. Avoid v7 of this product. 1/5 Missing In Action "miaaim" (Franklin, TN United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: American Greetings CreataCard Platinum 7 (CD-ROM) I own Creatacard Platinum 6 and tried Platinum 7. Well, I don't know

As a previous owner of Creatacard 3, I jumped when Creatacard 5 came out. What a disappointment. It was merged with Printmaster, the wonderful easy to use interface was all botched up and most if not all the cards were duplicates of Creatacard 3. However, I bit the bullet, kept Creatacard 5, sold my old version of 3 and then kept my eye out for a new deal. Then Creatacard 6 came out. I thought great, but when I read that that number of cards were not an incremental change over 3 or 5 I said forget it.Well now Creatacard Platinum 7 is out and here's some stats. This from the Broderbund site:more than 6,800 creative possibilitiesNote this means:Projects on CD: 2,381+; Projects Online: 4,419.more than 11,300 premium quality images in every styleNote this means:Images on CD: 3,101+; Images Online: 8,199.However I received this in an email from Broderbund. Awesome Phone, Great Customer Service

I decided to switch from AT&T to Verizon after1) Becoming disillusioned with the quality (or lack there-of) of AT&T's network.2) Becoming fed up with the "walled garden" of the iPhone/iOS, and the poor performance of the iPhone 3GS in particular.3) Deciding to consolidate cell phone accounts with my partner, who has a Verizon phone.I did my research, and I decided that the Droid Razr met my criteria for speed, flexibility, expand-ability, not being an iPhone, and then the 4G totally sold me on the phone. While I would have like to have had Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box like the Nexus has, I know a software update will come in time. Anyways, I finally bit the bullet when I saw the phone on sale here on Amazon Wireless, so I grabbed it, and have used the savings to buy a dock on regular Amazon, plus an Otterbox case (which actually fits really well to the phone). The ordering process was pretty pain-free, though I had to "submit" my... 5/5 Brad Hopkins (Atlanta, GA) - See all my reviews, March 16, 2012

Incredible power in the palm of your hands

I have been using the Droid1 for three years now. I loved that phone, but it was getting heavy, slow, and clunky. So I did some investigating and bought this Razr.Let me tell you, I am not disappointed. On the 4G network, this thing is the fastest phone I've ever seen. The screen is beautiful, apps load instantly. The camera takes beautiful pictures and videos. And I've discovered the Tango app (which allows video calls between phones that have the app)...I've been having a blast with that.I have a laptop, desktop, iPad, and iPod but I find myself drawn to this phone instead of all the rest of my tech goodies.I was most worried about the keyboard because I loved the pull out keyboard on my Droid1 as I typed on it with my nails. However, after a day or so, I've gotten used to the on screen keyboard. The screen and keyboard keys are big enough that I don't usually hit the wrong key. Showing some love

I don't write reviews often. I have written them, several of them, I just don't do it often. When I saw the RAZR only had 2 reviews, I decided to show a little love!So I have had smart phones FOR-EVER... Starting with a Palm Treo 600 back in 2003-2004, maybe? After almost 10 years, I can't imagine going back to a regular phone. And I've had a physical keyboard all this time. I have nails, and if you type with your nails, a capacitative screen isn't going to do you much good! When Palm stopped making the Treos (they hadn't come out with the Pre or the Pixi yet) I clung to my 700, desperately hoping they would release something. Finally the phone was so old and ticky I had to give up and I switched to a Blackberry, which I loved almost immediately. Just a few months afterwards, Motorola released the original DROID. I was salivating, and kicking myself for not waiting just a bit longer! As soon as a year was up and I was eligible for an early... 4/5 Jennifer "Apple Girl in ATL" (Lilburn, GA, United States) - See all my reviews, March 20, 2012

    State of the art

I don't know which is more impressive, the hTC Rezound or Verizon's 4G LTE network. I switched from the hTC EVO 4G on Sprint to this phone and the difference couldn't possibly be more dramatic.Display:Physically, the phones are a similar size. These large format smartphones take some getting used to, from carrying them in your pocket to the fine art of one-handed touchscreen action where you stretch your thumb across the screen. The Rezound actually sits well in my pocket and once you get spoiled with the larger display, it is nearly impossible to use any other phone without squinting and thinking "this thing is too small!".The pixel density is outstanding and colors are good. Not quite SAMOLED but still very good. With this resolution, I was worried about the lag I had been reading about, particularly with the latest hTC Sense. I did notice the occasional short lag when you inundate the GPU with a lot of actions like swiping several screens and then hitting... 5/5 S. Good phone - until you root unlock bootloader - then it's GREAT

I've been an Android phone user since it first came out on the G1 and I've had many different phones and tablets that I like to hack/mod to optimize and customize the devices using root access or custom ROMs.Root - basically gives you superuser access to do what you want to the device (stop/remove programs that the carrier installs aka bloatware, use apps like wifi tether without paying extra - data is data!).ROMs - basically a different version of the phone's operating system. Typically it's customized/optimized to have less or no bloat and better features/tweaks (speed, stability, battery/CPU management, etc.)I took advantage of the Amazon Wireless holiday specials and picked up two Rezounds (NOT for the Beats which is just an EQ and marketing hype) since they were the most powerful and high-resolution phones that VZW had at the time. I guess that title is shared now with the Galaxy Nexus. After owning many different types of slippery... 4/5 Hien Nguyen "scatterbrained" (Houston, TX United States) - See all my reviews, January 2, 2012

Ended up going with Rezound over Galaxy Nexus..Here's Why

I was absolutely torn between Nexus vs Rezound. Both are great phones, but in the end, I ended up with the rezound, and I THINK I made the right choice. In brief, while the nexus has the bigger screen and ICS, the rezound, undoutbley has the better hardware, and will get ICS early 2012 anyway. You can upgrade the software, but you cannot upgrade the hardware. The rezound beats out the nexus in several major categories: 1.) SD card slot 2.) Disk-drive Mode. 3.) Faster processor. 4.) Slightly higher resolution 5.) Beats audio (more on that later) 6.) 8 MP vs 5 MP camera. The Nexus has its advantages over the rezound, but they end up not being as important: 1.) Slightly bigger screen. 2.) Slightly thinner/lighter. 3.)
