  great game and it works fine on the kindle

  this game is fun and has a great story line. I loved the grafics and I've played many hidden riddle games and this was one of my favorites. I do not understand why people have trouble finding things on the kindle because it worked just fine on mine.   I love mystery games to begin with, add that with find the difference, Jig Saw puzzles, and so much different mini challenges to figure out. I not only have this on my tablet, I have it on my cell and soon on my lap top. Never a dull moment.If you love mystery games and all that I have listed above, I highly suggest you give this game a whirl. I will warn you, it can be very addicting.I enjoyed it so much, I even paid for the upgrade; and that is coming from someone that doesn't spend money on games like this.   My antivirus Webroot gave me no problems with this game whatsoever. It had no virus or otherwise downloaded with it from Amazon. The game has some of the most beautiful sceneries and music I have seen. I love Oberon Media's work with PC games. You'll enjoy these games if you want to unwind and be entertained & challenged at the same time. The last game was anticlimactic...abrupt close and NO murderer identified. Try Sherlock Holmes games...they are best for all of the above and you get to determine the guilty party.Finally, a good practice is to run scans (Malwarebytes is best)and then your antivirus on the downloaded game while it is in the download folder and BEFORE installing. This will likely root out trojans/viruses/spyware and hopefully prevent an infestation. A word to the wise....enjoy!   Nile File Trojan!

  Upon download of this bundle McAfee auto quarantined a file needed to run the Death on the Nile game McAfee stated it was a Trojan & did not give the option to NOT quarantine though I could have restored it! I checked the McAfee site & it listed several similar Trojans which began with the name Artemis! I did try to reinstall from the game but McAfee pounced again, I am not going to restore the file to play Death on the Nile though until I hear from McAfee, the EXACT Artemis! file (with several numbers after it) is NOT listed on the site but there are so many why take a chance.The other 2 games Dead Man's Folly & Peril at End House are pretty good, the graphics are nice though the puzzles are a bit simple & I am not a fan of the "comic strip" sections the various areas in the game are well done, I think it is a good deal even being able to play only two games but I would of course NOT download it if I new there was a possible Trojan, I do want to check with McAfee to see... 5/5 bethany "birds and more birds" (SALEM, NH, United States) - See all my reviews, September 22, 2010

  Awfully short with compatibility woes (Fixed)

  If you like point-and-click adventure games, this may be your cup of tea. The visuals are quite good as well. However the game is not terribly challenging and it can be completed over lunch. There just isn't much content here. The most puzzling thing about this game is why the 16MB app doesn't support moving to SD.Speaking of support, I encountered much trouble getting this game to run. I originally purchased this game for my Tegra 2 powered Viewsonic gTablet (Froyo, 1.2-4349 stock for those interested), but could not get it to run. The app would simply force close on launch, even after a full reboot and a reinstall. The same thing happened with an ASUS TF-101 (Honeycomb), another Tegra 2 device. It did install and run without a hitch on a Dell Streak (Froyo) which incidentally uses a Qualcomm QSD 8250. After reading reports of issues on the Atrix, also Tegra 2, I am inclined to believe that Nvidia's SoC is not supported. If your Android device uses Tegra 2, I would advise... 3/5 Curtis J.   Badly Designed for Larger Screens

  I got this app for my Fire. When opened, the app only takes up 1/4th of the screen, making it very difficult to see and play. Parts of the navigation menu within the game (the scroll, the time left in the game, some of the other text) breaks out of the tiny app window into the outer area.   I play a LOT of these "hidden item" games, because I don't have the attention span for anything more involved than that. This one has some really great features, and some things that are a little weird.First of all, even though this looks like a kids' game, it's definitely not targeted at small children. For one, there's a whole subplot involving the heroine trying to bone her scuba-diving instructor, or something like that. There's also an entire level where the "hidden objects" consist of bras and thongs. I am not making this up.   I was disappointed in this game. It downloaded quickly to my Kindle Fire, and I didn't mind that the objects were so small that I had to get my nose right on the screen to find them, but I couldn't seem to move past the first level. I went through the same five screens over and over and over...did I miss something? Do they have to be done in order? Did objects have to be found in a certain amount of time? The objects never changed each time I returned to the screens. The Help section was no help. Maybe it downloaded incorrectly, not sure. Also, the music wouldn't turn off! Even after I exited the game it kept playing away! And the ads as mentioned in previous reviews were a bother--they wouldn't go away! I am one of those people who hates to abandon a game before it's done, but I am going to abandon this one.   Not very fleshed out for a game

  I installed this on the Kindle Fire, and it looks like it's meant for a phone, so it's possible it's missing some functionality. (There is a normal mode and an HD mode. When switched to HD mode it popped up a message saying it might lag on some phones.) From the description, I was expecting an actual story to go along with the puzzles. When I open the app, I got a logo screen with the company name, and an instruction to double tap to zoom in, double tap again to zoom out. Seems helpful, but once you get to the main menu screen, your options are to "Play" "Help" "Achievements" and "scores". Tap on play, and it immediately launches you into a timed hidden object level. Double tapping to zoom in makes the image about 5% larger. Not really helpful. The objects are pretty easy to find. Once you finish a level, it sends you right on to the next level with no narrative. Save your buck and for future reference I have noticed that all the Big Leap games have one or two stars.
