  I have been using Norton to protect my computers since the 80's. Since I am a long time repeat customer, that says it all. I have tried others that worked well, but found that Norton was the least intrusive. Going about it's business in the back ground and leaving me alone. I really like the ability to turn off Norton anti-virus from the task bar when I'm installing new software, instead of burrowing down thru clicks and clicks to turn it off on it's home page. Buying this combo saves me time, effort and money. I only have to watch for one date of renewal on my computers. I used to write on my disks which one went to which computer. No longer - one disk for all! Do you own more than one computer and have been buying the single version for each one? Then you already are aware of the great value of this combo. 5/5 L.   Excellent Antivirus

  Throughout the years I have used several programs to protect home computers from the usual threats of surfing the web; although no Antivirus is bullet proof against every possible virus or hacker, not having an up to date antivirus is welcoming trouble.This new version compares to similar entries of other vendors, and most of the basic features are shared in all the programs.   The BEST!

  I've been using AVG since 2006 and I always end up sending junk emails through my Yahoo account. I installed AVG + Spybot Destroy & Search and nothing has been detected until I decided to have a go at Norton. I remember I used Norton Anti-virus a long time ago but it was so CPU intensive that I went through AVG. When I first installed it detected a major Trojan Horse and lots of suspicious cookies. I've never had any problem at all on my PC and I've never sent any junk mail at all.   Not Trial Version

  I purchased the product from Amazon and it arrived very quicky. Product is as decribed. It is not a trial version. After install, it did say that I had a 3 day trial, however, the instructions that came with the software say that you must activate the product within 15 days of install. A product key is attached to the instructions.   don't be mislead by the 3PC on the box

  I love norton. I buy about 10 copies a year because I have a lot of computers. I was a bit mislead by this box, 1 user 3 pcs. I thought I could install it on 3 pcs in my home and it would run for a year on each pc. well, it does not. My antivirus protection on my computers expires at different times. I just realized that when you install on the 2nd and 3rd computer, it only allows you the time left on the first computer, which to me, should be clearly advertised on the box, which I could not see it anywhere.   Sluggish Resource Hog

  I had switched to Norton back in 2009 when they started getting positive reviews for keeping resource usage at a minimum. I haven't had any real complaints with it until this 2012 version. Ever since installing it my computer runs sluggish & found it was Norton (ccSvcHst.exe) eating up 88% of my CPU just idling, it wasn't even scanning! Norton is quick to report other applications with resource usage but doesn't report itself.   Well worth the investment for protection of my computer

  I thought it would be interesting to match this program with my existing PC protection program. It was interesting and I am amazed. The Norton program was able to detect huge number of dangerous items during the first scan that had been apparently being missed by the other program.Norton Antivirus 2011 was designed to protect against viruses, spyware, worms,Trojans, Bots and Dangerous Downloads. While not in any way sophisticated to the level of knowing the consequences of each of the above, all of that sounds dangerous to my work which occupies most of my time. I want it protected to the state of the art!   After running Norton 360 v4 for nearly a year across two Windows 7 PCs, I have been very satisfied with its performance and stability. I was looking forward to upgrading to v5, and extending my subscription.Functionally, Norton 360 v5 is very similar to v4 with a few additions:- improved SONAR protection (blocked 100% of virus/malware threats in Dennis Technology test)- updated Download Insight for even greater protection / scan of downloaded files- refined user interfaceFrom an effectiveness and performance perspective, I don't think you can get better than Norton 360 v5.   Norton 360 ends computer problems forever.

  Does Norton 360 live up to the hype? For me it does. I bought my first version of Norton 360 3 years ago. I had been using Zone Alarm, Zone Alarm is freeware and donations are accepted but not mandatory. Zone Alarm did not cut it for me. I kept getting emails from them about all these wonderful premium versions that I could buy. They pestered and pestered. With Zone Alarm it seems that it totally took over my computer.   Renewal Costs More Than New Software - Otherwise OK

  I have been using the Norton security products for many years, and I have been for the most part very satisfied with them. The one gripe I have is that every year when I go to renew my subscription, I find that I can purchase new copies of the software for less than the renewal price. Although it is relatively easy to buy new copies of the software every year and avoid the exorbitant renewal costs, I feel like Symantec is trying to take advantage of me. I think loyal customers should be rewarded with renewal costs that are at or below readily available costs for the new software from reliable sources like Amazon. Instead, Symantec prefers to try to gouge its customers. For this software which is currently selling for $37.99 on Amazon, Symantec charges $59.99 for renewal.   Norton continues its good run.... still some flaws and cosmetic improvements this time

  I have been using Norton Antivirus/Internet security for years now (on 3 PCs running XP) and the big turn around for the past few years with 'light' software has been great. Most times, issues have been due to non-removal of other/earlier versions of Norton software.Installation: The recent improvements in installation are continuing to be great. I was able to upgrade from NIS2010 to 2011 in under 2 minutes. If you still have license period left from your previous installation, choose to upgrade using Norton upgrade option (You'll get pop-up notice or check Support - Check new version/product update).   One of the best if not the best IS software

  Well, after a few month of beta testing I guess it's time to give everybody my opinion. Since 2010 Norton became my favorite security suite for my PC, and this one is no exception. I tested it on 3 different PC running XP Pro, Vista H.P.32bit and Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit. Once you get this software it will let you install on 3 different computers. Haven't tested 64bit version, but I'm pretty sure it should work the same. For those who already has a 2010 edition you won't see mush of the changes, it's more like refined version, which is a very good thing. For the interface it keeps the dark theme, with yellow text, but moves the large graphic security status indicator from the main interface window up to the task-bar and system tray icons. The UI is impressively easy to use. It's still very fast light on resources, with an extremely good protection.   After doing four or five weeks of research and trying kaspersky and bitdefender(which is a monster resource hog) norton outshined them. It's fast, in fact it's the fastest full virus scan I've experienced and resource light. It catches everything and doesn't allow anything to go unnoticed. I used to be a Norton fan in the past then after I discovered back four or five years ago that norton allowed many viruses into my computer, I moved on. Bitdefender was slow, but it was comprehensive. After getting tired of the slow updates and scan rates and false positives I decided to go hunting again and ended up back with Norton.   Succeeded where another failed.

  About two weeks ago my daughters computer was attacked with somthing which tried to make her think her hard-drive was failing. It masked itself as a windows recovery program. It asked her to go on line to download a fix for the problem. Knowing you cannot fix a failing piece of hardware with software she suspected she had a virus. She contacted a Mcafee representative to see what could be done. They agreed it was a virus and had her run several scans. It found one infected file but did not find this virus and could not get rid of it. She wanted to know how come Mcafee did not stop this virus and could not fix it. She was told that they can't stop everything. She immediately cancelled her automatic renewal to Mcafee, and I ordered this for her. She did not use her computer until the Norton arrived. We then removed the Mcafee and installed Norton, and imediately scanned the computer. It found and removed three threats immediately.   I downloaded MyAntiVirus Pro to my Kindle Fire. I thought it might run in the background, but I need to click on it and tell it to scan. I can't ask it to scan just one app, it has to scan them all. The good thing is the scan is fast, whether I choose the quick scan or the full scan. There is an update feature, but it is not automatic. It needs to be selected manually.The most niggly thing about it is hitting "exit" does not exit the app. I need to hit the "home" icon to get out, but that's not exactly hard to do. It's not a bad antivirus scanner, and I'm happy for the speed._______________________UPDATE: I just want to make a correction to my review. I wrote the above review after running it for about a day.   This is a great anti virus product. It scans any downloads and does a complete scan daily. Have Lookout on my Android phone and this app is just as good for my Kindle. 5/5 Rae J.   Norton 2011 Rocks...its Fast

  I had Norton 360 which I bought for all my computers, and it took about 15 minutes on average for 360 to have my computers ready to go.With this new product all the computers are ready to go in about 30 seconds. Same greatNorton protection on my HP PC's, just way faster, so thanks for listening.(*** NOTE: When I had my IMAC computer I never had Internet Security. I did not even know what it was and because it was a Mac I never got a virus.
